Keeping Up With The Hoffmans

Sorry for taking so long between updates, I know it’s pathetic, but we’ve been absolutely slammed between have the little K, work and having it snow so much that it seems like our house was buried! Take a look at our photo gallery for some photos from the past 3 months and I’ll be trying to get a video together sometime soon so that you can see some moving pix of little K.

We headed up to Main St. here in Park City yesterday with Kaitlynn in her “Sweet Pea” outfit and Jackson in his “Zorro” cape and hat. It was a beautiful afternoon/evening and there was a throng of people, kids and dogs all the way up and down the street. We took photos and video and made this little video – enjoy!

We took Kaitlynn outside today to test out her new snowsuit – it’s actually for an 18 month old so it’s just a bit big on her. But it still looks like it does the trick, check out the movie (it’s a bit long, hey we gotta test out the camera you know!)

So, we took Kaitlynn to her 6 month checkup at her Pediatrician’s yesterday, and not only did she get a clean bill of health but she also got the ok to start in on more ‘colorful’ solid (well, sort of) foods. This morning we decided to start her out with some delicious sweet potatoes, and this is what it looked like, enjoy:

It’s been probably way too long between photo updates (again), but with summer in full force it seems like there’s almost always something to be doing. Anyway, here are a sampling of several more weeks worth of Kaitlynn photos, including 4th of July and concerts and movies in the park. Wow, two blog posts in two days – who have thunk it! Anyway, here’s Kaitlynn’s first dip in Lake Michigan from back on the 16th of June, enjoy!

Wow, it doesn’t seem like it was just a week ago that we were flying back from our whirlwind (if you can acutally call a 2 plus week trip that) trip back to the midwest. We flew into Minneapolis on June 1st and for her first time on a plane, Kaitlynn did very well, only crying a little bit, which we decided was because she was overtired from all the excitement of packing the day before. We met up with the Minnesota grandparents right at the elevator that took us down to the baggage claim and started on a great tour of Rochester, Palatine and Chicago from there (well once we got the car to the baggage, right gramps?).
Kristy, Kaitlynn and Eric then drove onwards to Grand Rapids and spent the 2nd week enjoying time with Michigan grandma and the rest of Kristy’s family, including taking a trip to the beach at Lake Michigan where Kaitlynn got her first experience with water that wasn’t part of her bath.
Now, it’s just one more week before Eric heads back to work so we’re trying to wrap up a number of small projects in the yard and around the house, but for some reason they keep on multiplying…at least I’ve got this page updated for the moment. I am downloading some videos from the trip and I’ll be getting them up here sometime soon, bye!

Ok, so I’ve been slacking a bit in getting photos of Kaitlynn up here – but we’ve been busy we’ve got a little kid now for goodness sakes! Anyway, photos are getting updated this evening, and I (hopefully Kristy too) am going to try to get some posts up here about what’s going on with us as well.
We took LK (little Kate) in for her 2 month checkup on Friday and I have to say that I’ve never seen her get anywhere near as read in the face before. The 4 shots she got were not appreciated by her in the least. Thankfully the infant Tylenol seemed to do its job and she didn’t seem to have much soreness after the initial shock, but boy was she ever po’d!
Mom is getting a bath ready for LK as I type this so I’m going to post this up and get some photos up for all to enjoy.

Edit: I forgot to add the stats from the visit on Friday, LK is now up to 10 lbs 3 oz and is filling out at 23 1/2 inches in length (I guess you don’t call it height until they can stand up).
